Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection – Movie 145 of 365

08 Aug

Any resemblance between this and the zombie movie of the similar name is strictly a lame attempt at getting viewers.  I’m not big fan of remakes to begin with and this can’t even call itself that. Apparently the based on part is borrowing some of the famous drop lines and setting it at a remote farm house.

Granted there is a small bit of interest in how the family in the farmhouse tries to cope when family members are turned.  Also the ending is different, even though it comes out of nowhere and really makes no sense unless there is a sequel. I’m not really sure I would want to waste my time watching that anyway.

Maybe I wouldn’t have hated this movie so much if it had a different name. But when you use that title you have a certain responsibility to bring something to the party besides a cheap off-brand bag of chips.
