Object of my obsession: Clive Owen – October 3, 1964
My favorite appearances: Sin City (Dwight), Children of Men (Theo Faron), Inside Man (Dalton Russell), Shoot ‘Em Up (Smith)
No matter how many characters Clive Owen has or will play, he will always be Dwight to me. Sin City is a truly fascinating movie with many great actors and visuals but I was obsessed with Dwight from the moment he appeared on the big screen. The long black leather coat, the red converse all-stars, the dark yet protective personality, it was all so much. But there is more talent to Clive Owen than just a noir hero. Whether he’s a highly skilled bank robber, a carrot chomping, fast shooting, hero, or an activist who risks his life to bring a pregnant woman to safety, I love watching him on him on screen.
And when he’s not acting he exudes class and style while promoting brands such as Bugazi, BMW, Three Olives Vodka and La Cote des Montres watches.
I keep reading conflicting information whether or not he’ll be reprising his role of Dwight in the upcoming Sin City 2: A Dame to Die For. But if he does I’ll be in the theater opening weekend.
