Rango - Movie 16 of 365

The movie has the most amazing computer animation, the fire, water, glass elements are so amazing, the coloring as well. The main character, he drove me nuts. It feels like Johnny Depp channeled Barney Fife for the first three quarters of the movie. Had it not been for the last twenty or so minutes of this movie I would’ve deemed it a waste of my time. It wasn’t horrible, the first three quarters. I liked many of the characters, including the possums, but Rango annoyed me so much that it overshadowed the story. Its probably just one of those personality traits that trigger’s my annoyance automatically, sort of like Jim Carrey in most anything.

But the second desert highway scene in the last quarter of the feature made the movie for me and finally allowed me to enjoy both the visual and the audio equally.
